Tina Turner asked the question, “What’s love got to do with
it?” But she did not give the answer. Many would ask, “What does love have to
do with changing your life?” or What does love have to do with success?” My
answer to these questions is … Everything!
Love has everything to do with it, because love is the most
powerful emotion on earth. Love has the capacity to heal and to cure, to build
and to restore, to renew and to reform, to translate and to transform. Love
hopes all things, bears all things, believes all things and endures all things.
Love conquers all … love never fails!
Margaret Walker wrote that love stretches your heart and
makes you big inside. Duke Ellington said that love not only means I am with
you but also I am for you, all the way!
Love is a Decision
Martin Luther King Jr., said “Hatred and bitterness can
never cure the disease of fear. Only love can do that. Hatred paralyzes life,
love releases it. Hatred confuses life, love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens
life, love illuminates it. I’ve decided to stick with love, for hate is too
great a burden to bear!”
Love, like anything else that changes your life, is a
decision. Love is a choice which creates options. Hate is a choice but it
removes options.
Start your Day With Love
Og Mandino, in The Greatest Secret in the wrote “the
primary ingredient for long-term success is to start each day with love in your
heart.” Love the sunshine that warms the bones, yet love the rain that
cleanses the spirit. Love the light that brightens the way yet love the
darkness that allows us to see the stars.
Love Transforms
Love others, even your enemies, so much that they have no
options but to learn to love back because love tears down walls and builds
bridges. Greet and treat all whom you meet with love and realize how it affects
them.
Love will transform you! Once you realize that you can not
control the time, the weather or another person for that matter. The only
person you can control is yourself. You can choose to love in spite of anyone
or anything. Remember love never fails!
